NCP3231A High Current Synchronous Buck Converter

ON Semiconductor NCP3231A high current synchronous buck converter is designed as a high efficiency voltage-mode synchronous buck converter operating from 4.5V to 18V input and generating output voltages down to 0.6V at up to 25A.

The device offers lossless low-side FET current sensing, 500KHz switching frequency, external programmable soft-start, output over-voltage and under-voltage protection, system over-temperature protection using a thermistor or sensor through OTS pin, hiccup mode operation for all faults, pre-bias start-up, and an adjustable output voltage. The NCP3231A high current synchronous buck converter is ideal for cellular base stations, telecom & network equipment, and server & storage systems.
