PCOMnetA5 Single Board Computer with Freescale Vybrid CPU
F&S Elektronik Systeme offers PCOMnetA5, a ready-to-use product based on our small and inexpensive form factor PicoCOM.
It is based on a compact base board with plugged-on PicoCOMA5-V3-W13/LIN.
The baseboard has a size of 80x50mm and offers the following functions and interfaces:
Power supply is provided via Single Supply of 5V.
A PCAP touch panel controller can be connected via plug connector J2. I2C and power supply for the controller are on the plug connector.
2x Ethernet are available on standard RJ45 sockets (RJ1 and RJ2).
Further communication interfaces like for example CAN, RS232 or RS485 are on pin headers with a grid dimension of 2,54mm and can be used directly.
Additional functions can be realized via GPIOs, I2C and SPI.
2x USB Host is on the pin header. For using a USB Host standard connector, one can use a simple cable adapter.
The USB Device interface is on a standard connector.
The RGB display interface is available on a 40 pole film cable socket.
The assignment allows a direct connection of all EDT displays with Unified Interface (3.5“ up to 7“) (please refer to the table of jumpers in the hardware documentation).
The 4 signals for displays with resistive touch panel are available as well.
To connect of displays with PCAP touch panel, an additional adapter is needed.
PicoCOMA5-V3-W13/-LIN with Freescale Vybrid Cortex-A5 CPU is plugged on the module and offers high computing power as well as 256MB RAM and 128MB Flash.
Windows Embedded Compact 2013 and Linux (Buildroot) were customized to suit the module. Further operating system versions are available in our download area.
Bootloader as well as kernel/image are pre-installed.
