ROHM Semiconductor introduces the BD9E151 nonsynchronous step down DC/DC converter.
It features a wide 6 V to 28 V input and is capable of handling 1.2 A of output current through the integrated 80 mΩ power MOSFET.
Features such as over current protection, under voltage lockout, thermal shutdown, soft start, and over voltage protection increase system reliability.
Efficiency is increased with automatically activated pulse skipping at light loads and 0 µA shutdown supply current.
A reference application circuit with a bill of materials can be found in the datasheet showing over 90% efficiency for VIN = 12 V, VOUT = 5 V and IOUT = 1 A.
