Wurth Electronics X2 Safety Class Film Capacitors are VDE, cULus and CQC certified film capacitors in the 275V AC (FTX2) and 310V AC (FTXX) voltage ranges and guarantee reliable interference suppression for the application.
The components are available in 7.5-37.5mm pitch up to a maximum of 6.8µF. Pulse stability extends to 600V/µs. Both series are X2 safety components, manufactured as metallized polypropylene (PP) capacitors and are mainly used as filters in power supplies.
Both series are available in 4mm (noted with the CS at the end of the part number) or 20mm.
Application of X-Capacitors:
X-Capacitors (Cx) are used in parallel to the voltage source, between the power lines as shown below, to filter possible spikes:
